Enjoy a leisurely day out on Lake Okataina, an unspoiled and uninhabited scenic wonder set amongst Rotorua's beautiful lakes. This 'Natural Jewel' offers a wonderful kayaking experience where you can paddle alongside native bush that meets the crystal, clear waters of the lake's edge. Pristine white sand beaches provide opportunities to relax in a tranquil environment or, if you prefer, swim on a beach all to yourself. A picnic lunch is provided.

Steeped in history and natural beauty, Lake Tarawera is the site of New Zealand's last major volcanic eruption. It offers cold, clear springs, hot thermal pools, untouched native bush, and soda springs. Join us on a kayaking adventure of this scenic wonder where you can stop at Hot Water Beach, located on the edge of the lake itself, for a bathe in natural warm pools or, if you prefer, a swim in the crystal clear lake waters. If you enjoy kayaking and scenic walks, this is the option for you! Join us on a kayaking adventure to historic Lake Tarawera where you can enjoy stunning scenery both on and off the lake. Take a scenic walk to Lake Okataina, once part of Lake Tarawera until volcanic upheavals cut it off. Explore the area around Lake Rotomahana, site of the world famous Pink and White Terraces, destroyed in June 1886 by Mount Tarawera's violent volcanic eruption. A picnic lunch is included.
